New generation of youth activists ready for practical work with young people

Forum MNE has successfully completed all three modules of the Youth Activists vocational programme.

Over the past months, participants explored key topics related to youth work, youth policy, youth activism, needs assessment, activity planning and the development of project ideas in youth work.

We are especially pleased that the programme brought together a motivated group of participants from different sectors, with valuable experience in working with young people and a strong commitment to applying their knowledge in practice. Through interactive sessions, discussions, practical assignments and mentoring support, participants strengthened their knowledge, exchanged experiences and gradually shaped ideas that will soon be developed into concrete activities with young people.

Following the completion of the modules, participants are now preparing for the practical phase of the programme. In the coming period, they will plan and implement youth work activities in their communities through different formats adapted to the needs of young people and local communities.

The practical phase will focus on youth participation, community development and cultural heritage safeguarding. We look forward to seeing the ideas developed during the modules grow into meaningful and relevant activities that create space for young people to learn, express themselves, connect with others and take an active role in their communities.

The activities were implemented within the project “Youth Work as a Catalyst for Community Development and Cultural Heritage Safeguarding”, supported through the BOOST Balkans programme- a regional initiative implemented by ALDA and financially supported by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The project is co-financed by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro.
