SMART Balkan: Core grant

Objectives of the core grant:

  • Support the internal growth and development of the organization, in line with the findings and recommendations from the impact assessment and the self-assessment of organizational capacities;
  • Support the development of the organization’s strategic program priorities;
  • Enhance the organization’s strategic impact within the community and among target groups;
  • Support efforts aimed at ensuring the organization’s long-term sustainability.

Implementation period: 1/1/2024 to 31/12/2025

During the two-year period of core grant support, Forum MNE will focus on the significant role that youth work plays in prevention efforts and in addressing risk factors that lead to violent extremism. Special emphasis will be placed on early recognition and response, which requires the active involvement of all relevant stakeholders—institutions, organizations, and individuals. Preventive efforts will be translated into tangible activities that promote relevant and timely learning, the development of knowledge, critical thinking, skills, values, and attitudes, as well as the dissemination of positive narratives.

This support has been provided through the Core Grant of the regional project SMART Balkans – Civil society for shared society in the Western Balkans, implemented by the Center for Civil Society Promotion (CPCD) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) from North Macedonia, and the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) from Albania, and financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
