PREVENTING AND REDUCING ALCOHOL RELATED HARM AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE IN MONTENEGRO

The project seeks to enable youth to fulfil their potential and have resilience to risky behaviors including alcohol use.

Specific project objectives

  1. To build capacities of youth work practitioners and CSOs in preventing alcohol consumption and reducing alcohol related harm among youth;
  2. To raise awareness of general public on alcohol related harm and advocate for sustainable alcohol prevention measures for young people;
  3. Impact on and advocate for adoption of national strategic approach to alcohol harm reduction and alcohol prevention programs among young people in Montenegro.

This will be achieved through a set of carefully designed activities: training program for youth work practitioners in Montenegro; development and application of youth health and safety standards; direct work with young people, youth CSOs and CSOs working with youth; and  networking nationally and regionally with other relevant actors.

Implementation period: 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2022
